Auki Vendor Association to Hold First Annual General Meeting Since Pandemic Began

THE Auki Market Vendor Association in Malaita Province plans to hold its first Annual General Meeting in two years. It was the first Annual General Meeting since the COVID-19 pandemic began in 2020.

Auki Market Vendor Association (AMVA) President, Joy Ramo said the Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be the first after two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The President said the AGM will be very important for AMVA members to take note of since it will be the first meeting again after a long time.

“The highlights during the AGM will be on financial reports for members to be aware of. Also, there will be updates on challenges faced by businesses and savings during the covid pandemic situation.

“We will also look through ways forward in encouraging families to invest in agriculture and fisheries for example in agriculture we will look at gardening, raising of local chicken, pigs, and ducks and as for fisheries we can also look on protecting our reefs,” Mrs. Ramo explained.

Meanwhile, she reminded members that as this will be the first meeting again, they are looking forward to it which will fall any time this month, and encourages all members to must attend.
