The 2025 Annual National Trade Fair, set to take place next month, will celebrate Solomon Islands’ rich economic diversity and the people’s commitment to building a stronger, self-reliant, and sustainable nation.

This was highlighted by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Commerce, Industry, Labor, and Immigration, Honorable Frederick Kologeto, during the official launch of the event on Friday, 30 May, in Honiara.

Hon. Kologeto said the trade fair aims to boost economic growth, community spirit, and national pride. “The Government recognizes that the private sector is the key engine of economic growth, but we must also support it—not only with laws, like the recent Special Economic Zone laws, but also with finance, infrastructure, and opportunities to showcase what we can do ourselves,” he said.

He added, “This event will bring together producers, innovators, entrepreneurs, and investors under one banner. From our rich agricultural harvests and unique handicrafts to our vibrant tourism and innovative technologies, this fair shows the creativity and resilience of our islands.”

The 2025 Annual National Trade Fair will feature a wide variety of products and services from across the country’s productive sectors. The event is scheduled from 30 June to 7 July 2025 at the Solomon Islands Panatina Campus in FOPA village.

This important fair continues to highlight the country’s economic potential and the spirit of collaboration that will help Solomon Islands grow sustainably into the future.

The Deputy Prime Minister expressed hopes that the trade fair would help connect rural communities and provinces to each other and to international markets.

“To our business community, your participation and investment are deeply valued. Your innovation and persistence drive the wheel of progress,” Hon. Kologeto said.
