SOLOMON Water has announced the closure of water supply and no running water to several urban communities and business areas after a major burst pipe in central Honiara.
The cause of the outage was a major burst pipe caused by a contractor on-site at the Solomon Ports domestic jetties at Point Cruz. Water had to be isolated to allow the line to drain in preparation for repairs. As a result, the affected areas will experience no water since the water supply has to be turned off.

Meanwhile, they want to apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate their valuable customer understanding; therefore, those in and around the following areas will be affected by no water at this time:
