THE low-pressure system responsible for the current bad weather situation in the Solomon Islands is moving towards Queensland, Australia, according to an earlier statement issued by the Solomon Islands Meteorological Services.

However, the country will continue to experience heavy rain triggered by the current bad weather caused by the rapid development of the low-pressure system located at the indispensable reef in the West of Rennell Island.

Heavy rain and strong wind warnings are still current for most of the provinces, therefore public needs to think about safety first.

The bad weather is expected to return to normalcy when the low-pressure system moves closer to Australian waters later in the week or next week.
